I do a lot of covered calls and naked puts in the non-microcap part of my portfolio. Nice consistent gains. I avoided the big crashes. Stick with stuff that's pretty stable. I've done well day trading SIRI and shorting a few favorites like XMSR and even GOOG. But sometimes I consider that more gambling than even the penny area, where I do think that DD can give you an edge that you can't get elsewhere.

I've tried lots of approaches. I've toyed with some AH shorting of quick moving Cramer picks and had a very high percentage of gains, actually almost perfect, but very small dollar amounts as you have to be almost perfect to catch the initial pop.
