As long as you set the bar low enough, we're great. Wherever your moral relativism makes you feel comfortable. You have yours... who cares about anyone else? Who cares about "American ideals". Who cares about that America has always been the example for the rest of the world. Hell, we're better than Brazil, China, Iran, Syria, and you have yours... Why would anyone care about anything else?

Ted, I am a citizen of the US.....why would I care about Brazil, China, Iran, Syria etc. Let me put it this way. If John Goodman came up to you and said that you needed to lose weight, would you pay attention, or would you say, "You first"? No Ten, I would not tell him to lose the weight first. How frigging ridiculous? Do you really think that way? Amazing. I am serious. You really are the type who would cut off their nose to spite their face. And what makes you think the abuse there is worse than here. The same thing that makes you think the abuse here is worse than there. I never made a relational judgment.......you did. I have no idea if its worse or better than foreign prisons. All I know is that its bad. I told you that you and I are wired very differently and you just made that point beautifully.
