So you're a quitter who thinks we're doomed to be addicts of Arab oil forever. That's not a very positive or pro-American sentiment. You seem to think Americans are too dumb and lazy to ever be able to solve problems and change.

The city on the hill can be lit just as well with solar and hydrogen power as gas, coal and oil. Those fossil fuels are old-fashioned and very harmful to the environment and national security. They must be replaced.
