f you included promotional subscribers, those for which we know the take rate is only about 54%, you would be skewing the true churn figure upward for no apparent reason.

And if you didn't include the promotional users as subscribers, those for which we know the take rate is only about 54%, you would be skewing the true CPGA upward for every apparent reason.

Your choice in the real world.

Either your CHURN stays the same and CPGA goes up, or CPGA stays the same and CHURN goes up.

Or you can continue to live in Your World. But, don't expect the "bean counters" to live in "your world".

You include them as Subscribers because their trial period is paid for. But, you exclude them from CHURN because their trial period wasn't paid for.
