You offer a one word clarification to what you mean by personal objective yet protest my responsive reply, go figure? And it seems basically you're conceding to the success but want to now discuss the quality of those successes:

Reply, have real wages kept up with inflation when food, healthcare ,education and fuel are included in the rate of inflation. And lets face it those 4 items are with out doute the most important to consumers.

reply, what about amt and bracket creep?bottom line rich pay less... poor and middle class pay more

reply.how many actually own out right or even 50% of their homes?-

That to me is the typical liberal form of moving the goalpost in their debates.

Here's another part of my response: Presidents are elected on their "personal agenda" in a sense. Kind of like if I ran for office, and ran on my Values, they happen to be Conservative Values, so that's what I'm going to rely on enacting. If you interpret that as being incompetent, there no need for further discussion, by your definition EVERY President could be considered incompetent. These guy's were businessmen in the oil industry. That fact was well known. I'm a businessman, I know how these guy's think and operate. Quite frankly that's a whole lot less scary than a John Kerry that has had zero industry experience and very little "real world" experience.

And perhaps you need to fact check before replying:

i thought the aim was to reduce greenhouse gases.japan has complied and at the same time run large surplusses and come out of a deep recession

But the latest government reports show Japan's emissions were already 8 percent above the 1990 level in 2003, and forecasts suggest that the country will not come close to achieving its 2012 goals.

As for your attached article, I read it and sit here and wonder: Do you live in fear everyday over this? I've read those same doomsday articles back in the 70's. If I had bought into them then I would feel really bad now for unfulfilled life that would have lead me to. I'm sorry I'm not hitching on to that wagon.
