I don't know if these cases are comparable to Amr's or not but I did a quick search and the sentencing does vary a lot, depending on the person, I guess.

one example is "Ex-Deputy gets a mere 1-1/2 years for "RICO" type charges Total ...Kenneth Williams, 40, was convicted of racketeering, extortion, trafficking..."

There are many cases, anywhere from a few years to a few decades for racketeering and extortion: xrl.us
