We were mocked by the mainstream for supporting him then. Its amazing to me how thoroughly a sharp political organization can define, in the public's mind, a candidate. I still can hardly believe that in the 2000 race, between Gore and GWB, Gore was widely perceived to be the more egregious liar. Or that in 2004, GWB was the bigger war hero than Kerry. Pure urban myth, carefully crafted and widely instilled in the public consciousness.
