Yet they'd rather concoct elaborate scenarios with weapons and delivery systems that likely don't exist, and that results in those countries being totally destroyed. The biggest threat to the country right now is a full blown ME oil embargo, which would probably lead to China (and everyone else) dumping our debt. And we're doing everything we can to piss off the people off that have us by the balls... Bush is playing a very dangerous game with our lives.

4.5% of the world population, 25% of the worlds consumption. It's a national security nightmare.

China and Iran are cooperating on oil ventures. I wonder if it will occur to them that they could also cooperate on economic moves against us? That could make it doubly devastaing. The Bushies have us in one of the weakest global economic positions I can recall since the OPEC oil embargo. It's a much greater threat to our security than terrorism.

China could dump our bonds in a flash, which would certainly do more harm than a fictional Iran nuke fictionally smuggled into the country to fictionally explode in some US city (which would cause Iran to be immediately be blown off the face of the earth, limiting their incentive)."

Sorry, CJ but your hypothesis ain't nearly as interesting as the one where Iran has all these nukes and threatens to wipe the entire Christian population off the planet.
