What would that do to SUV sales?

They will go up because people will need the integrated SIRI/XM so stern and oprah can relieve thier depression.

What would that do to eating out?

People would eat out more because they are too depressed to stay home and cook.

What would that do to the demand for larger homes?

Princess would need an even bigger home to make her feel better - preferrably close to starbucks and macy's.

What would that do to discresionary spending?

It would skyrocket because princess is an emotional bag of drama and the only way to make her happy is to sing the GO-GO's VACATION song while spending all her problems away blu cantrell hit em up style.

What would that do to jobs and hiring?

Princess does not have to work, she will get a sucker man to work, or steal or kill for her starbucks and fear factor. She has the most powerful force in the universe - stinky hole - and from ceaser to mark antony and cleopatra to hiedi fleiss and monica lewinsky - she HAS THE POWER.

What would or should the FED do to counteract rising speculation in homes and/or a market strong enough to allow cost pass thrus?

I thought the FED does not prick bubbles, but lets the market do what it will and then tries to mop up the mess after the participants go home willingly with a hangover. Assuming the FED still has any REAL power - which I am reading they do not - so they sit around confused scratching thier heads about CONUNDRUMS.

What would or should the FED do to counteract a sudden spike in gasoline to $6?

Bush said we are gonna make magic cold fusion energy devices to not have to depend on oil boys anymore - it must be nice to have a direct line to Jesus - you can say LET there be LIGHT and it magically springs forth - magic perpetual motion cold fusion energy will just spring forth from his lips and princess bush daughters will get lots of pure energy.

the FEC would likely try and prevent a totally economic collapse, massive and sudden bankruptcies, people unable to pay heating bills, and demand for all kinds of goods and services dropping.

Perhaps the fed is a puppet to more powerful interests - and while you think they are your buddies and looking out for you like Bill O'reilly - perhaps they are evil minions actually working to put the boot to stomping your face for thier overlords. I remember a senator in 1932 saying we had screwed our own citizens to make foreign investors happy with our gubbment - when did the politicos in office and thier power become more important than the people? Phil Grandie says this today, the bankruptcy bill was to screw our citizens (mostly medical problems) to make foreign money keep flowing this way.

A supply shock in oil would be hugely deflationary and probably force marginal people into bankruptcy immediately.

My redneck buddies will gladly send a couple of thier kids with guns and tanks and drone planes and missles over to the middle east to get some of that good black gold so they can sit back and watch Goldberg and Earnhardt on a friday night - dont doubt that for a second while you wave your flag - Bon Jovi told me last night he was gonna be at the daytona 500 today swelling that american pride! Those cars at the daytona burns lots of gas eh? hehe You know he did a star wars christmas album - what a geek he is - hehe.
