Dorothy Johnson also wrote "The Bloody Bozeman," a non-fiction treatment of the Bozeman Trail, where a lot of the battles with Native Americans occurred.

I have several of her books signed, including "Vigilante Days and Ways," which she wrote a forward for a reprinting when I was a teenager. It's about the Montana Gold Rush and was written by Nathanial P. Langford, a Vigilante who later became the First Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park.
