Yes, the RNC has no dirt on any current democrats, so they either make it up and outright lie (like that Abramoff gave money to democrats, a total fib, or all those phony "gates" which Clinton was 100% cleared of during Whitewater)) Or they go back 20, 30, 40, even 50 years. Robert Byrd in the KKK as a teenager in the 40's is my favorite. I think he was in the KKK for a week when he was a kid, which is supposed to prove he's a racist. yeah,a nd look who's talking Mr. Do Nothing During Katrina. And yeah, John Kerry protested the war. But why? Because it was the most awful, corrupt, dishonest and self-destructive war this country has ever waged. There was no point to it and it was getting tensds of thousands of American kids killed. It was literally insane. So his protests were in fact extremely heroic, especially considering he directrly took on Nixon, the most powerful mane in the world. Chappaquiddick is another fave. Nomatter Laura Bush and Bush Sr. got people killed too, and OK, Teddy blew it badly, but ir was an accident and he did pay a stiff price. As for his drinking, it never seems to impact his work, and I'd drink too if the rightwing murdered both my brothers. The Bushies seem to forget that they're in bed with the same type people who murdered the Kennedys, ML King and escalated the Vietnam War. Probably the four most evil sins in US political history.
