You are welcome..no need to shout.

I posted the article without comment. But I do agree with you that old Pat seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth. Do you think he is under undue pressure, trying to negotiate WH agreement to a new form of judicial oversight while at the same time asserting that it isn't necessary? If not necessary, why not just tell the WH to stand tough and negotiate nothing? As senior Intelligence guru in the Senate, his complete support of the president's position would be meaningful. So why even this level of waiver?

I think enough of the Republicans have joined the nattering Democrats in insisting on some oversight, so old Pat is trying to keep the entire family happy. Good luck to him.
