This is the problem with Canada. We bury our heads in the sand rather than having rational discussion on sensitive issues such as immigration and facing issues squarely. Any discussion that considers the possibility that immigration can have negative consequences, or concedes that not every culture in the world is a positive influence on us evokes knee-jerk reactions dodging the issue from people who want to stifle debate -- terms like "racist" or "white power" are the mud that is flung in our eyes! And this is the same type of thing the we are quick to laugh at in the US when people use the word "terrorist" to justify whatever they want to do and shut down debate.
