Competing Gastroenterologists Are All In A Snit In Ogden, Utah ODGEN, UTAH (CN) – Three doctors, all gastroenterologists, have sued a fourth doctor for defamation in Weber County Court, in a claim that includes some remarkably childish allegations. Drs. John Lowe, Dennis Sobotka and Brian Pugh claim Dr. Steven Porter defamed them by, among other things, referring to them as “Dr. J-Lo,” “Dr. Poo,” “Dr. Pop-Tart.” They claim Porter is trying to swipe their patients by making statements such as “You received a letter from (plaintiffs’ office) telling you that you need to return in two years for a repeat colonoscopy? They must be hurting for money.” Represented by Anderson & Karrenberg of South Odgen, they seek punitive damages.
