OT question. I'm trying to install a Linksys multi-port router so I can run two PCs on one DSL connection. Both PCs are connecting via ethernet (no wireless, although the router is capable). The old PC connected fine, but the brand new one (of course) doesn't. The router doesn't seem to see the ethernet card in the PC, and when I look in device manager there is a red mark through the Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection.

Any suggestions? I think I need to reinstall the driver for my intel ethernet card, but trying to update it with the Drivers CD that came with the PC results in "cannot find better software than you have".

If I just delete the Intel driver in the Device Manager, will it automatically reinstall on reboot?

Otherwise, anyone know where to download a driver for an Intel PRO/100 ethernet connection??
