The writer seems a little over confident.I've seen some evidence that the Dems will be focusing on things like the medicare fiasco :-) I must say I'm rather pleased to see such signs of healthy growth. I wouldn't call it a win for the dems yet, but I think it will be a horse race.

Our president received a very warm and enthusiastic greeting here in Florida. He came to meet in Tampa at the Air Force base and then was in a motorcade to Orlando to meet with
a Republican base where he was greeted by cheering throngs...

The streets were lined with well wishers. Someone called out we are so glad you are our president... The signs that were posted were all supportive of the war and there was a group that was formed since 9/11 the name escapes me.. but they rallied with posters and cheers. There were a small group of dissenters lead by a mother of a soldier who had been killed.

This is the essence of the article I read in yesterday's Tribune..
