Perhaps I am off base, but shouldn't part of the education for new Canadians be about the differences between the culture they are coming from and the one they are entering? Some kind of program that explains that carrying an illegal gun can get you departed, and perhaps that there is no need for guns in Canada. I also think that landed Immigrant status should be revoked for being involved in Gun related crimes. I also wonder if jail time counts towards the time needed for citizenship, anyone know?
