KLP, Oh yes, indeed he does! And with startling frequency! You and he had a discussion about the, uh, pleasures of his travels over on Compendium a few weeks ago.

I'm with you. I even passed on a trip to Hawaii because of the indigenous giant bugs there.

The nasties are more afraid of you generally than you are of them. The exception is mosquitoes. Yucatan is a malaria hot spot. We've been lucky so far.

Never run across snakes. Agouti and various types of monkeys, though. Oh, the site at Copan is fenced in. Macaws park on top of the fence. They are fed by the site guards and keepers there, so they hang around.
