Nixon had Kerry followed and wire-tapped by the FBI the whole time in the early 70's. If Kerry had done anything unethical Nixon would have exposed it, but Kerry was 100% true blue. In Paris, Kerry helped nudge the process along, meeting with everyone he could. Those peace talks had stalled for a long time. Again, if Kerry had ever done anything wrong, Nixon would have pounced. Nixon was personally afraid of young John Kerry. The FBI concluded after two years that Kerry was a very effective, lawful and moderate leader of the movement. It was a heroic movement to end the stupidest and most insane war in US history. It was like Iraq times five. Very very bad, costly and self-destructive for the US. Remember too, it was the Afghanistan war which really brought down the Soviet Union. Those stupid, useless imperialist wars trying to bully small countries are usually not smart. It wasn't as if Vietnam was any threat to us. And LBJ lied about them attacking us. They never did. Just like Bush-=Cheney lied about Saddam, nukes and 9-11 connections.
