Lindsey is as cool as they come. Her reaction to her "goof up" has been classy. Many top ranked snowboarders say they probably would have done the same thing had they been in a similar commanding lead. My suspicion is that Lindsey could have done that "method air" a thousand times in a row in practice without falling; but when she instinctively tried it with her commanding lead the other day, she suddenly realized she was in the Olympics, lost her concentration briefly, and landed badly. I hope someday she's given a reprieve by God and the masses because of the dignity she has shown since Friday. /john
