Or how the wine was brewed, or that mess in the kitchen, plus the pile of dirty pots, pans and plates, or into what that meal is transformed after digestion in what we call a lump of shit. Don't know a single guy who have stopped eating because of those details.""" Exactly the problem..it is past due to start thinking and personally acting<g>I just got off the thrown and my shit slid down the drain with 3 litres of water...my choice. """Stop reducing it ad absurdum.""" what is absurd about.. """Google gave me this.Is it true?I do not know.We can google up many more of these sites. It comes down to what an individual choses to believe, before reality sets in.Ignorance , hype and the herd can take marginal ideas to stratosphere. The scientists that have studied ethanol and methanol production have come up with an EROEI of 1 or less than one,if the herd choses not to believe, we can make money and be happy<g>.Can you remember the hydrogen hype several years ago with BLD up to $160.00,not many chose to believe the science, but fact, and reality has set in with BLD profitless since IPO and down to between 5 and 6 bucks. There are still many with power pushing this dream.Same hype with tar sands, many negatives there too but large herd does not want tp listen.Methanol, ethanol will make sense when it makes dollar sense and that will take the test of time, as BLD, especialy without government subsidy."" Re hydrogen hype..and "There are still many with power pushing this dream" Honda for example here..Message 22183606 The idea is to have production of hydrogen, from natural gas, at the home(Home Energy Station) for the FCX fuel cell concept car...excess electricity and heat for domestic water heating for the home. Sounds wonderful, but does it make sense?Natural gas already at the home used for heating, and water heating at 97 percent efficiency NOW ..will be run through the honda device, to produce hydrogen. I think we know about the loses there (thermodynamics)..so hydrogen is produced..now it has to be pressurized and stored..how much energy is required to pressurize the hydrogen to 5000 psi and the pump it into the car? Honda admits that the total cost of concept car and home energy station is presently in the millions. What would be the total energy inputs, to produce a million of them, 10 million, 50 million, will this hydrogen dreaming ever make sense? ...Would all those energy inputs from this pie in the sky dream be better used producing gasoline Hondas at 60 MPG or concept world all electric car that has the possibility to be partially charged with alternative energy? The costs in the millions quoted by Honda for hydrogen concept dream is not all labor costs..majority has to be cost of production of materials...largly oil based. think of teeter totter..all the barrels of oil and oil equivalent to produce Honda basement hydrogen device and concept car on one side .........................all the barels of oil and oil equivalent to produce 60 MPG gasoline Honda Civic on the other If you assume both cars fall to pieces at the same rate and get almost the same MPG you know the high end of TT is the choice. for perusal..mnforsustain.org
