re: "The government of the United States should know that if they go over the line, they are not going to have Venezuelan oil," Chavez said.

"I have already taken measures regarding this. I'm not going to say what because they think that I can't take these measures because we would not have any place to send the oil," Chavez said.

China?

Actually, he's bluffing. If he sells the oil to someone else, he might as well have sold it to us. Only if he withholds oil from the world markets does he hurt us. Of course, Nigeria is in such a turmoil, there are predictions it may effect global oil production by as much as 10%. Chavez doesn't really have to do anything.

Our politics is leading towards economic isolation.

Lead? I think its past tense at this point. Are they going after Chavez because he's a threat to the US, or because he's such a prominent socialist that they can't control their hatred? Since it makes no sense to verbally attack him, I have to assume its the latter.

Whatever happened to the only "enlightened superpower"?

Gone with the wind.....or should I say Election nite 2000.
