You are absolutely correct - I am just throwing some garbage out there to collect my own thoughts. Maurice has stirred some excellent points that are worth using the thread as a sounding board to test. However, Islam is a religion of violence and intolerance, nothing can dissuade me from that fact. Yet, it is only our Western style of assimilation that makes us tolerate so many disfunctional types of behavior. Hence, it is only our opinion that the Dark side is evil, just as I discoveredd that there were heros on both side of the force. After all, Milton was fairly sympathetic in his treatment of Lucifer in Paradise Lost. "Tis better to reign in hell, than serve in Heaven."

We had better learn to hate them in some constructive way. The Cold War was full of competition between the Soviets and the United States in medicine, space exploration, chess, Olympic Games, and even Rocky 4. Right now, the only thing that I can imagine is the race for alternate fuel technologies. Bush is cranking up the rhetoric for hydrogen, ethanol, solar, hybrid, and every conceivable technology that most Americans cannot conceive of.

Having witnessed the race to 3G CDMA from 1999 to present, I can say that the digital evolution is finally realizing milestone breakthroughs. I can use my Bluetooth cell phone to get an dun connection on my laptop at pretty decent speeds around 115 kpbs. At the same time, my cable connection is kicking out 6 MBPS.

I would love to see the breadbasket of America turned into oil fields of agricultural alternatives. Better than paying through the ass for oil based energy under the sands of the ME.
