Re: "Clinton urges EU to convict publishers of caricatures... He said the media could criticise any issue including governments and people, but nobody had the right to play with the sentiments of other faiths."

INCREDIBLY STUPID THING TO SAY!

But then again, the Clinton administration was ALWAYS problematic when it came to protection of Free Speech Rights, ot Privacy Rights --- as witnessed over and over again by such bone-headed policies as it's push for the 'Clipper Chip', support for embedding standardized government wiretap access into all commercial telephone and Internet switching gear sold in the USA (a policy continued by the Bushies...), and numerous *other* examples.

I am sorry those cartoons were ever printed but I dont see how anyone can call for a CONVICTION over a cartoon, this appears to me to be a THROWING TO THE WOLVES an offering to calm down the militants. Perhaps we ought to look at what is going on as THE TRUE meaning of Islam and the WAR we are going to have to fight against THE ENTIRE MUSLIM WORLD. Its beginning to look like its US or THEM, I prefer THEM. jdn
