Of course, but those are very good reasons not to put JFK on some sort of pedestal. He did some very good things, he did some very bad things. His legacy is definitely mixed. He certainly was no Lincoln, Washington, etc., while he lived. So, yes, it was godawful that he was assassinated, but I no longer get very emotional about it.
