Agree.

Like all good young people, I was a Democratic liberal back then. All was possible. Then the Great Society, Jimmy Carter, and a few other things happened which turned me into a Republican.

You sure about that? Bobby was an aide to Joe McCarthy and later on wiretapped Martin Luther King. That your kind of Democrat?

The guy he elbowed out of the way in 68, Gene McCarthy, stood head and shoulders above any other Democrat. McCarthy challenged LBJ when no one else had the guts to try. Bobby was a late comer to that primary.
