What makes anyone think that foreign CBs care? Is there any evidence of them caring?>

I keep hearing this from a lot of people. Every CB is different, but they have to have some accountable to their governments and people. I suspect they have grossly underestimated the risk, all too common right now. I can't accept that they are willing to lose billions just to accommodate Americans and their exporters. Once they start losing tens of billions in agency bonds, there will be a wakeup call.

Russ wrote that. My response indicates that I don't necessarily see it as a big problem. FCB's end up owning NA real estate with the downside limited by US rental programs such as Section 8 housing.
