re: I am 6"1'... right, we had that dialog once before ;)

Figure of speech; lost in translation.

re: I don't believe Bush is bright. But I do believe kerri is a true opportunist - and thus much worse. Does that cover my opinion - and your question?

No, that wasn't the question. Are you just playing "language dumb"?

John, you know better than anybody else here that when I get eager my English proficiency suffers to the levels of "language dumb", right? So no reason to play ;)

They are all opportunists, that said, get over Kerry. Who cares about Kerry.... most folks care about the US, not a single politician.

re: Remember, I never put Bush Jr into office, you did.
A fact, isn't it?

Yes, I made a mistake. I believed the compassionate conservative thing... really appealing. Looks like it was an invention of Michael Gerson (who is damn good at his job).

Still, I have the ability to learn from my mistakes. To see reality...

Only the smartest learn from their first mistake.
Others may need "mistakes" for that like you suggest in your case.
Most never learn at all, however. We will see...

So do you think we should open our borders to reduce COGS?
Don't know COGS, please explain.

Do you think Bush is doing a "good" job, is the world (and the US) a safer place and more prosperous for his actions?

I think the job of removing Saddam was a good one and the military action was an absolute success.
As for what followed, the lack of after war planning and the lack of execution of whatever he and Rummie had thought out is an entirely different thing and more than pathetic, a tragedy.

Now you may argue that we had no reason to move on Iraq because they had never attacked or threatened us and so forth.
Maybe a valid argument, which I would in that case apply equally to FDR and his declaring war on Nazi Germany.
Sure, that was uncalled for...

Lots of questions, no answers from the evasive little Swede.
Little Swede now answered Little Golfer, is he happy now, feeling almost like a birdie?

You should have been a diplomat.
Heard that before. Coming from you I prize that compliment even higher :)
