And, given their success with the Swiftboats strategy last time around, we will be blessed with a great deal more of it. The success of the Swiftboat strategy was because of Kerry. He failed to come out against it in a timely manner. Similar to the Willie Horton issue. You would think that the Dems would have learnt from what happened to Dukakis not only from the Willie Horton issue but also from the "wife is raped" response of Dukakis which lacked passion. I think the American public will vote for those who have a plan such as Contract with America, why change horses in midstream (Bush Sr.), a new covenant (Clinton). Al Gore failed miserably since he was running away from the Clinton presidency unlike Bush Sr. who capitalized on the Reagan record.
