Apple has always fascinated me - the play with Blockbuster is interesting seeing them as another sales/distribution channel. Somehow, schleping to a Blockbuster to load my iPod at a kiosk doesn't cut it for me being a Netflix user, however........ Apple is selling iPods and movies in volume and the B'buster's customer list is worth its weight in gold even if only 30% of the base migrates to iPods.

And way back, I remember a conversation at DEC when Jobs and Wosniak came to visit the engineering group - some engineer commented that the Apple PC was a "piece of junk you could build in your garage" - another engineer countered with "and that's our problem".

Just when you think you understand what business they are in, Jobs reacts to, or creates another inflection point in the market.
