The economy did not overheat, inflation did...and then it was choked to a recession during the Carter administartion. But hey, who are you to admit the truth. Carter was a terrible President...we all know that. It is OK to be honest Kenneth, try it sometime.

Bush needs to raise taxes for the rich, but never will. That unnecessary tax cut is costing us about 100 billion a year. Bush is running about a 450 billion deficit per annum. Then the Iraq War needs to end. That would save about 100 billion a year. Then cut corporate pork and stop the Bush Medicare debacle. That will save another 100 billion a year. SDI and new nukes programs should be scrapped too. Plus bringing down oil prices by conservation measures. That could save something like 100 billion a year.

And there we have it. Just about a balanced budget.
