MISSION STATEMENT
The United States Secret Service is mandated by statute and executive order to carry out two significant missions: protection and criminal investigations. The Secret Service protects the President and Vice President, their families, heads of state, and other designated individuals; investigates threats against these protectees; protects the White House, Vice President’s Residence, Foreign Missions, and other buildings within Washington, D.C.; and plans and implements security designs for designated National Special Security Events. The Secret Service also investigates violations of laws relating to counterfeiting of obligations and securities of the United States; financial crimes that include, but are not limited to, access device fraud, financial institution fraud, identity theft, computer fraud; and computer-based attacks on our nation’s financial, banking, and telecommunications infrastructure.

I guess they missed the part about investigating the very guy they are sworn to protect in the mission statement. Are breathalyzers standard issue for the SS?

Texas has ripped off about 250 billion from the rest of the country so they SHOULD have jobs down there.

Long ago when I first went to Texas a local there told me the truth about the Texas economy. What's good for Texas is bad for the US, and vice versa. So in 2000, Texas attacked the rest of us economically. And they made out like bandits. But why should this surprise anyone? In Tesxas, politics has always been a license to steal, and campaigns are a contact sport with no dirty trick or lie being too dirty.

Texas has high sales tax and its governor Perry has been widely criticized for squandering the state's wealth. Also the health care and educations systems are not good, and under GW Bush it became the most polluted and most obese state in the union.
