Could someone tell me why Sprott would sell the same number of shares they buy? In other words, why do brokerages do these 'cross' trades?-- Is it a way of establishing a trading channel for a company they're interesting in?

Yes, I know it's scandalous I'm allowed to buy and sell stock without knowing these kind of answers. . . but, hey, if I'd listened to the experts all my cash would be parked in US high-tech stocks.
