I bought it for $500 in the late 80s and now it would be worth 10 times as much. Not a bad rare of appreciation, but I'll live with not hanging on to an old car for 16 years to get a $4500 capital gain.

It suprises me that a Volare is worth so much. But then looking at the add I do see that it has only 8K miles, was always garaged, and has options my car didn't, and is a year newer (although that last bit does't always help for cars old enough to be "classic"

Aparently its not just Mopars

That Volare looks like mine, except mine was a wagon.

I found a 442 for a similar price. Mine was a '66, and was a much nicer car than this one. Makes me want to cry.
