The 'nutrition' industry managed to get away from FDA regulation so you don't know what is in those tablets. It could be sawdust, have no active ingredients, be whatever the mfr decides to stuff in there.

As for the eggs, don't you want government regulation so that those eggs aren't so old they're walking?

The theory about 'capitalism is the best' is that people only work for money, work harder for more money and that the 'best' person for the job is the one you have to pay the most. People aren't that efficient. There are plenty of people, take all of those bankrupt airlines, who aren't worth s*** but are getting all of the money.

There is no correlation between what a CEO makes and how his company's stock does.

Libertarianism misunderstands human nature and the nature of reality. Many 'isms do. I'm all for small government, less intrusion, privacy and the like. I'm all for legalizing drug use and other victimless crimes.

I am, however, quite sure that corporations, people in groups and people in general are not to be trusted with somethings including telling the truth about what they're selling. For that, you need some consequences that are more than just losing customers after you've killed a few.
