I think you have little business proclaiming what "the true conservative Christian" position ought to be. I'm sure Christians can and do vary, aren't you? Who made you the final arbiter as to what is "the" right christian position on anything? LOL.

death penalty ...hasn't worked.

That's just silly. There's no recidivism by those executed.

Crime is up.

Wrong. From usa.usembassy.de "But crime has been going down in the United States since the 90s."

Are you conjuring "facts" to support your illusions?

no it wasn't, it was for the ultimate punishment. Has nothing to do with determent

I thought the death penalty was to make people pay for their crimes.

I think President Bush did a great job as governor down in Texas.... especially when he made Karla Tucker pay for her crimes. Remember she was an axe murderess..... she was good looking, did her best at talking about finding God, etc to save her own ass, but then Governor Bush never overlooked the fact of how she killed her victims with a pick axe.... and cut her loose from this planet....

What is so good about the death penalty is that they never have the opportunity to kill again.

And Clarence Ray Allen from California is a good example of someone behind bars can still be responsible for murdering.... remember he arranged a triple murder while in prison for another murder....

I am just thankful that God gave Arnold the strength to not pay attention to the Tookie supporters and put that pile of human trash into hell where he should have been sent a long time ago......
