I also believe it was a British company that was operating the ports that did not want to invest the billions required by Homeland Security. These folks are willing to invest that. If my reading is correct this also kills the argument of we should own and operate our own ports because we weren't to begin with.

Good for you. You have hit the prejudiced nail on the head. As painful as it is, we have to remain true to our principals. We are an open and tolerant society. If we become paranoid, terrorists have won.
