Thank you Haq. I'm a humble man, but you might be right. All our dogs have been fabulous, with their sole fault being that they don't live long enough. When you lose one, it is like losing a child.

I am usually able to calm even aggressive dogs if they are restrained from actually biting me. The dog that lived in my house before we bought it was one such.

I think you are a good animal person too, and there is no finer compliment.

We have two volunteer cats. We adopted one from a rescue organization, but the last two just showed up and volunteered to join the family. They are all very loving.

I must admit to being less fond of my wife's bassett hound.
