Have you read his book "State of Fear"? It was very good, and I know he got on a lot of environmental "list". He upset more than a few Greens.

I believe he was even interviewed by Bush, so his book made an impression and may have influenced policy.

Rats! I was just finishing an phenomenally excellent rant in reply and Internet Explorer crashed, taking my wisdom to oblivion. I guess the complex system took me out just as I was hitting my stride. Paradigm Shift Happens and it did.
