There will always be infractions, but the US does and will always stand for justice.

Nonsense.

Those responsible for abuses have been or are being punished.

How does someone as dishonest as you get to be a lawyer....?

US law has the underpinnings of our constitution, of which there is no, and cannot be, international counterpart. Practices that were in violation of US law at Gitmo and Abu Grahib, while hardly as cruel as you suggest, have been duly prosecuted.

If Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and the like followed laws that were as good as those of the United States, we wouldn't have a problem now, would we?

Wrong, camel breath. There was hardly what I would call cruel practices. As far as the "abuse", the guilty parties have been dealt with and it happens in every war.

That's like saying that the Seattle mayor's office doesn't follow the law because, if it did, there wouldn't be any robberies, murders or rapes in Seattle.
