I just wish people were as agreeable as dogs.

Dogs do resent being left alone by their families. One time we had to kennel our dogs for two weeks. Daisy was just a year old then, as I recall. Annie was an old lady. When we went to pick them up, the attendant brought the dogs out to us. Daisy growled at me (the only time in her life she has ever growled at anybody) and Annie just turned around and went back into the kennel.

Since then, both dogs forgave us. Annie is gone now, but lives on in our memories.

Whenever I step on Daisy's toes or accidentally hurt her in any way, I always apologize and she always forgives me. She even forgives my wife, who spends hours grooming her with a comb that pulls out shedding hair.
