It's either Utopian or Dystopian, depending on yer fondness for free time....remember, there's a leisure class at BOTH ends of the economic spectrum!

I'm pondering early retirement myself. Devote more time to my kid, poker, and volunteer work. I'm kinda down on Big Everything these days, Big Government, Big Business, Big Religion. Seems to me the larger the institution, the greater capacity for ethical sublimation...ie, people who would not behave badly on their own suddenly have the capacity (and indeed are rewarded) to do unethical and even evil things when done in the name of a large collective. An extension of mob psychology, as it were, and just as dangerous.
