Indeed....contrary to public sentiment, the dollar IS backed by precious metals....Uranium and Plutonium!

It's too late to climb back up the slippery slope IMHO.... those dollar reserves held by China (CB, corporations, banks, whatever) are TOAST. Where Yuan is pegged means bupkiss... except it may mean China force feeding itself more dollars.
