hubris: Not as straightforward, but seems a bit like Telford who took over GG. If it’s out there he'll go after it and take it over.

If you're lucky he will be like Telfer. AUY is the only miner in my mainstays that I am not holding any of now. Hoping it drops some, but buy back in I will. I think it has a wonderful future and I think the company is doing a wonderful job. Also, Marrone seems to be following a similar path to the one Telfer blazed at Wheaton River. Early signs point to Yamana being able to pull it off, IMO.

Thanks for sharing. No position in DEZ. Sold way too early especially in light of the recent gains, but I was pretty happy w/60%+. Oh well. I think DEZ/AUY are great companies, but I'll probably continue to value shop until the next correction. DEZ buyout certainly shows the relative cheapness of GSS of which I added back today.

Re: DEZ/AUY. Like them both: own them both in 50/50 proportions. Just snoozing through the takeover, able to live with acquisition or not. AUY has lots of momentum and ambition: what's not to like?

Called in the KGC shares on option despite the shabby ops last year. I'll h0old for awhile, since the taxman cometh, but I'm in favor of better results in 2006. Sold some March CDE calls for a modest 50% gain, but holding the majority for further - let us pray - gains. Still stuck with those worthless TGA March calls. This weather does thow a body off-balance. Sad to see some of my favorite little gassers eaten by the crocodiles. They'll be fine long-term. But meanwhile, as we say technically:
