I agree and that covers the idiots on cnn as well as the idiots on fox and especially dan rather. Truth be told i think Shieffer is pretty conservative. He wouldnt go off the deep end unless like cronkite there was an issue that the just couldnt remain quiet about. Cronkite was always a liberal but except when he went off the reservation on vietnam, you would never have known it. And even with VN, you still couldnt tell whether he was a liberal or just opposed to that war from what he had seen being so close to the news.
