I have listened to him. He is not all that bright when it comes to the issues. Its a more populist buchananist form of rush. He was against the war. He is for nuking folks it seems. I could see him making a right wing version of a michael moore movie. Problem with folks like this is that as bush says the issues are hard and simple answers do not work. Look at longshorts crap on New Orleans.

Savage is working the "Angry Right" angle. Listening to him build up a rant is like listening to Heifetz work up a long crescendo in Bach's Chaconne. He's a virtuoso.

It's just the other side of Angry Left coin. Emotion sells. Witness the post-Katrina tack of CNN with Anderson Cooper. The depressing part is that so many people don't realize they are being manipulated.
