As intended, the new members which this site needs for its survival are here to talk stocks; not politics.

Granted, we programmatically prevent free members from posting to non-investment boards, but the fact that only 4% of new members even reads those boards is a pretty strong indicator that they're here because of an interest in the stock market.

All of the above is interesting and informative, but that still does not explain your exclusion of the political threads from the contest. After all, many members post on both types of threads.

No need to reply......its your company and you can run it as you see fit. Thanks for your response.

3. 0% of free members post on Political boards.
Do you think that the fact that you only ALLOW them to post on those threads might influence that result a bit?

Gimme a break.

In any case,
2. 96% of free members read ONLY Investment boards.
seems to indicate they want to. What do you think that number would grow to if they COULD post where they wanted? Being able to get into the action defineitely increases the attraction; if you can't, why bother?

"1. 99% of recurring subscribers post on Investment boards.
You wouldn't mind producing some numbers to back that claim, would you? The largest thread on this site is PGWB. You think it got there because it has the slowest growth rate?
and a good percentage of them post on both, don't they?

Oh, I notice you were careful to exclude the Coffee Shop from your statistics. They're not stock threads either and weren't intended to be. How do they affect the percentages?
