Yes. Every post, no matter where written, has a unique messageid. So it'll keep incrementing as it always has.

I've been a little worried that the grub might happen on a political board just to spite us (yeah, there are some spiteful folks here and there) and to make life difficult for us, and was considering programmatic intervention to disable non-qualifying boards for the few seconds starting with about 100 posts before the grub until the grub actually happens, but it's probably a non-issue.

There's money at stake now; not just bragging rights. So a lot of adept grubbers will be using their normal tricks and one of them will likely be the winner. And they're not going to risk losing out by breaking the rules.

I should add that in addition to getting quotes from all 3 winners that we might include in a PR, we're going to need their real names and optionally their phone numbers in case other news outlets decide to pick up and follow through on the story and want more damning quotes. <g> We'll address the winners by their alias in the PR unless they specifically want us to use their real names.

In answer to the resident smoocher's question about posts containing only "To the moon" or "LOL", keep in mind that the post will likely be a link in the PR and we'll be adding a quote of our own and it'd be such a shame if our own quote were "What a maroon!" ;)
