If the above is true, I wonder if this could mean that the US neocon GOPwingers are now planning on a separate nation for the Kurds, this with a profit scheme for the Kirkurk oil fields and ceding the rest of Iraq to whatever it becomes. After all, Halliburton's subsidiary's probably got those northern military bases nearly built, if not built.
