Dubai ports deal may benefit Bush cronies at Carlyle Group, iuncluding James Baker. The whole selling sand flipping of CSX also makes former CSX CEO Snow look like he's got some serious conflicts of interests here. This was send to me by the author of the cook on Carlyle Group and Halliburton.

You know Carlyle included both the Bush and Bin Lauden families and sees itself as above all normal business laws thanks to its deep connections within the Bush-Saudi hierarchy.

"Carlyle bought and sold a part of CSX, called Horizon Container, a few years ago. They flipped it in 15 months, nearly doubled their money, but they sold it to a company called Castle Harlan. CSX sold another part of its business to DP within a week of Snow becoming Treasury Sec. But there's not a lot of relation there. I'm assuming you know about David Sanborn's conflict in all of this though, yes?

What is more interesting is the James Baker's business in Dubai. The firm that he's associated with in Dubai (allied with? partnered with?) called Afridi & Angell, does a lot of business with maritime concerns in Dubai.Hard to say if DP is a client, but it's pretty darn likely.
